About the song
An upbeat lament (if such a thing exists - well it does now) on how life doesn't always go to plan or give us what we want but we can still sit down with out friends old and new and feel better.
Lyrics
Nothing To Do Today
You tried try to work hard and do what you should do
But sometimes it's hard to bear the things they put you through
You try to get on, your dues have been paid
But it's not really very clear if a difference has been made
So sit down with me, let's sing our song
I think you'll find we're gonna get along
Kick off your shoes and let the world be
You have a dream that you wanna set free
I've got hopes for you
Maybe you've got some time for me
You once had a dream or maybe you had a few
But I guess it's fair to say not too many of them came true
You stood up for what was right as you stubborn all along
It's hard to know when to take it easy
In which day of the week you should be strong
So sit with me, let's sing our song
I think you'll find we're gonna get along
Kick off your shoes and let the world be
You have a dream that you wanna set free
I've got hopes for you
Maybe you've got some time for me
Standing at the gates of kingdoms without keys
Still life, it never waits They've nearly brought us to our knees
From dark nights have risen a chance to walk in the sun
Soon we'll escape this prison
We all remember how to run
So sit with me, let's sing our song
I think you'll find we're gonna get along
Kick off your shoes and let the world be
You have a dream that you wanna set free
I've got hopes for you
Maybe you've got some time for me
